I can not tell you how many times I hear people say, “I know. I need to print them but I always forget.” Well stop it. Many families that are so behind on their printing, that they’ve just “lost hope” and have given up because they don’t see the point now. Some families say they feel guilty that they only have prints of one child and not so much of the other. I am that parent, too! My poor son has very few printed photos compared to my daughter. I didn’t realize how vital prints were to my family, though, until I saw my kids looking through the albums together and reminiscing on their short little lives.
My son didn’t have a single clue that there were far less of him than his sister. And he didn’t care. I could see that he just enjoyed going back in time. From then on, I made a commitment that I would always provide my kids with a change to do that often. I’m currently filling my 15th album and our family is only 12 years old. One thing I’ve fallen in love with is Minted. It’s been such a great place for me to add a little more character to my photos other than just printing. As I’ve stated, I love love love albums. But sometimes, there’s that ONE photo that I want something with a little more wow-factor. Framed art, and photo gifts is what I truly love. The second thing I’ve fallen for is their stationary! My families with high school seniors, new babies, or about to tie the knot…listen to me! Their announcements are so dang adorable and perfect for that one photo you want everyone to see. Lets get away from making Facebook posts. Our families are worth way more attention than that.
