In order to have a successful maternity session, be sure to follow these maternity wardrobe tips! Tight Dress, Flowy Dress, and Unbuttoned Jeans.
Tight Dress
Diana is the most perfect example of how flattering tight dresses are for a maternity session. Form fitting dresses accentuate the belly bump and that’s the point of the session, right? I love how tight dresses still offer cute little details around the neck and arms. If you can, grab a tight dress that has a slit up one leg- you’ll love me for that advice.
Flowy Dress
Jo’s flowy dresses were a dream come true. The white dress from Free People quite literally made my heart skip a beat. It had everything fit for a maternity session. I love how flowy dresses can be used to make gorgeous photos with a lot of movement. Picking up one side of the dress to wave back and forth is one of my favorite shots. A flowy dress is always nice, too, because they often have an elastic band around the belly to make a definitive line to show where the bump starts. Long flowing dresses also make it easy to get up and off the ground for different poses.
Unbuttoned Jeans
I know wearing jeans is not always comfortable during a pregnancy, but dang, those photos are cute. They don’t even need to button which is the best part. Pairing a bralette with the jeans is easy to do! This is a great outfit to incorporate a lot of jewelry! I would also pair this with bare feet!
