When you’re Googling “Family Photographer Colorado” for your Fall family photos- you’re going to get overwhelmed. I hope seeing these amazing families will help put you at ease that you’ve landed in the right spot!
My fall family sessions were a freakin’ hit this year! I’ve never photographed so many families in such a short amount of time before. We were able to try some new locations, new poses, and the leaves were literally hanging on for deal life just for my sweet clients.
I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed with everyone’s ability to follow wardrobe guidance and dress themselves impeccably. So many families picked timeless colors that will withstand trends (and make my Instagram feed look pretty, haha). Several families took advantage of my Client Closet, and I’m so glad they did! I don’t buy those dresses for me- they’re for you!
While we did venture to some locations I’ve already been to, some families and I took me to new spots that I absolutely loved. Some new mountain spots, some new Denver nooks, and even into their homes. As a matter of fact, I was able to be with families at the beginning, middle , and end of the season. I am always honored when a family invites me into their home, their sacred space, their life.
Some chose to have their fall family sessions at the very beginning of fall when it was still 90 degrees, and some chose to wait until the very end when it was 50 degrees. No matter the weather, my families rocked it. It was the best fall weather to date. The leaves and warm weather lingered!
While I love photographing families in all seasons, I love Fall the most. I love that I was able to be 100% myself. In year’s past, I have felt reserved to let loose and try new things. There was no holding back this year. I laid it all out there and I feel that’s why my sessions were such a success this year. I worked with people that truly hired me for me. Did that mean I let a swear word slip a time or two? Sure did. Did that mean I showed up to sessions lookin’ like a train wreck? Most of the time, yes. I stopped caring about dumb things and really focused on letting my personality drive the session- the rest followed suit.
To the peeps that had a fall family session; you da best.
