My Approach to NEWBOWN Photography
Did you know there was a difference between Denver lifestyle newborn photos and studio newborn photos? There is and they're polar opposite. One is not better than the other- just different. I'm a newborn photographer that shoots very candidly. Very authentic. Very real-time. This my friends- is lifestyle photography! While the purpose of the session is to photograph the new baby, my sessions will always include family members. Mom and baby, dad and baby, baby with siblings, and baby alone. Grabbing still frames of each family member interacting with the new baby will blow your mind. It should be remembered how your new wee one fit into each family member's arms. Newborn flakey skin, noses, fingers, yawns, and wrinkled toes happen in both worlds of newborn photography. They are often at different angles and different lighting, but they're there!
hen it comes to your newborn session, my goal is for him or her to be in their natural element. Just sitting , laying, looking adorable in the nook of your arm or on your chest.

This gorgeous family had so many amazing little spots for perfect newborn photos. The nursery, master bedroom, and even at the top of the stairs made for amazing shots. Wherever there is light is where we will photograph your new lil baby. They had a small toddler that popped in and out of photos whenever she felt comfortable. That made for some fun shots of her running around with her dad!

Before your newborn session even begins, I will start coordinating beautiful wardrobe options for each family member, so there won't be any stress surrounding what to wear. Whether you decide to book a Denver newborn session in the comfort of your home, or at a beautiful rented studio, together, we will look for sun drenched corners and nooks that make you look your best. I will focus on all of the tiny details of your newest arrival, and a lot of connections between you all. With light guided prompts, we are sure to grab what will be some of your favorite images of all time. You'll simply fill out the contact form and let's start the conversation of what kind of session you'd like. We will discuss if an at home newborn session or studio session will be best for the kind of photos you're wanting. Each package is a little different, but designed for you to not miss anything throughout your baby's first year. It's encouraged to book a few months before your due date to ensure there's space on my calendar.
1. Say Hello
It's time to start planning! Once we've got your session in my calendar we can plan all the fun and important details! We will chat about color schemes based on your homes decor.I will also guide you on how to prep your home and the spaces we will be using. If you decide on a studio session, you will simply show up promptly at the time given and we will get started!
2. Guided planning
During the entire process, I'm available to answer any questions you might have! If you're stuck on what to wear, I'm happy to help! If you're not completely sure how well a room photographs, you can send me a photo ahead of time! It's my goal to make this a simple, stress-free process.
3. ask me Anything
It's finally time! You've waited quite some time for this day and it's finally here! All of the details have been taken care of, the rooms are staged and we are ready to photograph you with your baby.
It will be a go-with-the-flow session. If your newborn needs a diaper changed or is ready for lunch, let's take a break!
Your session is between 1-2 hours to ensure we have all of the important photos to create your beautiful gallery.
4. Session day
Happy day! This is the best part, right? Your photos will be delivered via a link to your online gallery. You will have an entire gallery to select your images based on the package you chose. When you're ready to print your photos or deciding which heirloom product you'd like from your home, you'll be able to see what your exact photos look like on that item. It's a seamless, easy process!

I had been following Jessica's photography for a while, and was a huge fan of her work. We finally had a reason for some photos when I got pregnant and wanted to do an announcement shoot. Now, my son is 15 months and we've asked her to capture our little family every step of the way- announcement, maternity newborn, and holiday card photos. We've obsessed over every single one!
