A Denver newborn session is an amazing way to preserve the fleeting moments and memories of your little one’s first weeks of life. An at-home newborn session is an excellent choice for parents who want to document the natural and intimate moments of their baby’s first days in a comfortable and familiar environment.
At-home newborn sessions offer a relaxed and natural atmosphere that can bring out the true essence and personality of you and your baby. The familiar surroundings of your home can help your baby feel comfortable and at ease, which can lead to natural and authentic expressions in your photos.
Newborn Session Planning
When planning an at-home newborn session, it’s important to choose a professional photographer who is experienced in newborn photography. Introducing Me! I have the knowledge and expertise to safely pose and handle your baby while creating stunning images of your newborn.
The best time for a Denver newborn session is within the first two weeks after your baby’s birth but there are no special rules. It’s whenever you and your family feel most comfortable. During this time, your baby is still very sleepy and can be easily posed for those precious newborn photos.
Prep Your Home
To prepare for your at-home newborn session, make sure your home is clean and free of clutter. We will use various rooms and spaces in your home as backdrops for your photos, so it’s important to have those areas clean and tidy. If you’re not interested in cleaning your home just after having a baby (totally understandable), we can rent out a studio close to your home making it super convenient.
When it comes to outfits and props, it’s always best to keep it simple and timeless. You can use blankets, swaddles, and baskets to add some texture and variety to your photos. You can also include any sentimental items, such as a family heirloom, that you want to incorporate into your photos.
Poses for Newborn Sessions
During your at-home newborn session, I will photograph a variety of poses and shots that showcase your new growing family. Candids, posed, all of it! Often times, these are momma’s favorite images!
If you’re considering newborn photos, just do it. If you don’t book a newborn session, I fear that you’ll regret not booking when you reflect on your growing baby. You’ll never meet someone that regrets booking a newborn session. Promise.
