My Approach to BABY MILESTONE Photography

I will assist in picking out  best neutral wardrobe options and seamless posing for your little baby. We will want them to feel calm and relaxed the entire time in order to get those big gummy smiles.  Photos adorning the walls of your home, and in albums to pass on to future family members is my favorite way to top off your baby's milestone session.

If you've been able to browse through my milestone photos on my website, you can see that I'm a firm believer in an all white background for these types of sessions. I love that all of the attention is on your baby rather than a fancy backdrop. Now, don't get me wrong- I love me a good background. I love all of the pretty boho spaces, themed sessions, and the fun items that can go into a styled milestone session. However, I think a simple white background is the best way to have timeless, classic photos of your baby meeting a milestone. There are so many wardrobe options but I feel the ones that photograph the best are plain neutral colored clothing. 

hen it comes to your infant's milestone session, my goal is for him or her to be in their natural element. Just sitting , laying,  looking adorable.

You'll simply fill out the contact form and let's start the conversation of what kind of session you'd like. We will discuss  which studio will be best for the kind of photos you're wanting.  

We will decide which package is best suited for your photo needs. Each package is a little different, but designed for you to not miss anything throughout your baby's first year. 

Once decided, we will make it official by put a tentative date on the calendar because milestone sessions can look different for everyone throughout their first year of life.  

1. Say Hello

It's time to start planning! Once we've got your session in my calendar we can plan all the fun and important details! We will chat about wardrobe options, but I always suggest keeping it neutral and timeless. I can send you links to outfits that work best for this type of session, but a naked baby in a diaper cover will always be my favorite outfit. 

2. Guided planning

During the entire process, I'm available to answer any questions you might have! If you're stuck on what to wear, I'm happy to help! If you're not completely sure how to schedule around naptime, etc. , you can send me a text ahead of time! It's my goal to make this a simple, stress-free process. 

3. ask me Anything

It's finally time! You've waited quite some time for this day and it's finally here! All of the details have been taken care of, the studio is staged and we are ready to photograph your baby. 
It will be a go-with-the-flow session. If your baby needs a diaper changed or is ready for lunch, let's take a break! 
Your session is between thirty to sixty minutes to ensure we have all of the important photos to create your beautiful gallery, but we will always let the baby be the driver of the session.

4. Session day

Happy day! This is the best part, right? Your photos will be delivered via a link to your online gallery. You will have an entire gallery to select your images based on the package you chose. When you're ready to print your photos or deciding which heirloom product you'd like from your home, you'll be able to see what your exact photos look like on that item. It's a seamless, easy process! You'll finally have those images that you've been longing for to hang on your walls, and share with family and friends. 

Once the milestone session is complete, we can discuss future family  sessions!

I had been following Jessica's photography for a while, and was a huge fan of her work. We finally had a reason for some photos when I got pregnant and wanted to do an announcement shoot.
