I truly do know the best spot for senior photos. It will knock your socks off, guaranteed.
Everyone always says, “I want something different.” Girl, I got you. I know of the most incredible spot that has all of the great spaces and places. The majority of my seniors select this location, but guess what? There’s so much at this area, that I can make all of my senior sessions look different.
Jackpot!
When I first saw this spot sever years ago, I remember thinking, “I’ve hit the jackpot. I’ve hit the freakin jackpot!” It’s a photographers true dream- mountains, rivers, bridges, water, wheat fields, fences, and the mountains. It’s my lifelong goal to own private property with all of the above things, but for now the public land will do.
This is the best spot for senior photos because it’s perfect for guys and gals. It has a place for guys to look studly up against a building, and a field for the girls to twirl their dress. With a river to dip your feet, and trees to lean up against, it doesn’t disappoint.
Now, if I’m being completely transparent…this location has wildlife. And by wildlife I mean bears, deer, and snakes. Ew, I know. The deer was cute, the bear freaked me out, but the snake had me shivering for days. All sessions are done with caution, though, and we are always smart about when and where we shoot. It’s Colorado, afterall.
Since this location has a ton of green trees and grassy fields, I find that navy blues work for the gentlemen paired with some khakis or denim bottoms. Girls, pick the best earth tone dress you can find and head this way!
Look at all of these incredible good looking seniors that have all had their session at the best place for senior photos!
Hi there! I’m a senior photographer from Dallas and I have a destination shoot with a senior there in Denver. Your shots are BEAUTIFUL! Is there anyway you’d be willing to share this location? I’d love to be able to take my senior there. Please???? 🥺🥺🥺
Hi! Yes, of course! This location is at the South Mesa Trailhead in Boulder. It is absolutely amazing! It has so much to offer and you can literally spend hours there. The only thing is…you have to have a permit through Boulder :/ I’m not sure if they’re issuing new permits right now, but absolutely worth it to check! Thanks so much for stopping by 🙂
Hi! I just came across this post and I have a senior session that I am considering this location for. It is definitely stunning. What time of year is best for blooming flowers and color? We were thinking the end of June, however, is fall a better time of year? thank you so much!
Hi! The second week of October is best for the red leaves. It’s such a cool site to see with all of those fall leaves. In June, everything will be green.
Love this! We will be visiting Nederland mid July & are looking for a Senior Photographer. Can you pass along recommendations?
Hey there! I can meet you halfway somewhere and do a senior session for ya 😉
