Kaylee’s senior session in RiNo was SO. MUCH. FUN! Everything from the colorful murals, the pops of lighting from breweries leaking in, and the crowded alley ways of people enjoying their meals and music was just what I needed. Kaylee’s fun and creative personality really fit perfectly with this location.
Many high school seniors opt for the traditional nature-scape complete with golden grasses and mountains in the background. Which is fine! I absolutely love those areas and they make magical photos. However, there’s just nothing like an urban session. Especially with colorful murals painted by local Denver artists.
Kaylee is also an aspiring artist, so this was just a match made in Heaven. We made sure to find all of the great little spaces that these alley ways have to offer. Gates, plants, bricks, funky doors- you name it, we did it.
My favorite part of this entire senior session in RiNo was the last couple images on our way back to the car. The photos in front of the IMAC sign, as well as the bright pastel teal wall. Just something about the how the light was hitting the colors- I don’t know- I geek out about dumb things like that.
There was a Rockies game going on in Denver the same night we did Kaylee’s session, so the streets were packed with people. They lined the streets enjoying good food, music, and each other’s company. I have no doubt that she will make her way back downtown to enjoy this lively urban culture! So much fun!
The only downfall- parking and the smells. Parking is a pain. Period. And the smells…they are alleyways after all! We just make sure we are very cognizant of what we are touching and where we are stepping. Always gotta be mindful of our areas!
