My favorite thing about doing senior photos at Denver Botanic Gardens are all of the incredibly cool little spots this entire space has to offer. People think they just have pretty flowers, but that is so far from reality. The entire outdoor venue is littered with cool architecture, full trees, and tons of amazing light.
Right as you entire, there’s a long pathway that makes such a statement that we can’t not get an incredible photo here. This pathway makes me feel as if we are in another country. Maybe I’m not a well-versed world wide traveller and that’s why I love it so much, ha. It has such cool tall narrow trees and flowers all along the base.
Making our way into the park, we come upon one of the coolest little doors that likely gets overlooked often. Not by me! I love using this door as a backdrop. This exact spot is also amazing because it offers great 360 degree photo opportunities. Sometimes when I shoot, I think to myself, “Gosh, if this was just facing the other direction.” or “This would be so cool, but the lighting is coming from the wrong way to do what I want.” But in this little circular area, there’s no wrong direction and every photo turns out gorgeous.
On to the next garden- I love having my clients sit on the ground to give just a little bit of a different perspective. It’s hard to find places to sit or stand without disrupting nature here, so anytime I can find a place for them to plop, I will!

Photos with water and tall buildings behind is an absolute must.
Any pop of color that is within easy access will always make it into your gallery.
And here we are- my favorite space of the entire park. The Japanese Gardens. No words can explain how much I love how these senior photos turn out. The little bridge is just perfect for posing whether you’re standing or sitting. Standing against the dock with the weeping willow trees in the background is so beautiful.

If you’re interested in having any amount of flowers or plants in your yearbook photo, I highly suggest doing your senior photos at Denver Botanic Gardens. I can guarantee you’ll love them!
