If you had to guess, what is the most popular reason why women come to me for a boudoir session?
The majority of women book a boudoir session with me to gain back their confidence that has diminished over time for various reasons. All of them always say, “I just want to do this for myself.” So, that’s what we do! We have a very selfish day just for them!
Here are a couple of reasons to have a boudoir session!
Confidence
As mentioned above, confidence is the main reason why women book with me. Not because they already have it, but because they want to feel how they used to. It’s a common misconception that you have to have confidence going into a boudoir shoot, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. A boudoir session is the absolute best place to GAIN lost confidence. You will feel like a powerhouse after leaving. Promise.
A Gift
A lot of women plan out these sessions months in advance because they know a special day is around the corner. Whether it be Valentine’s Day, a gift for your groom, or a birthday present, boudoir sessions are great gifts to catch your significant other by surprise.
Divorce
Did you just get out of a nasty relationship? It’s a perfect time to reconnect and do this for no one else other than yourself. A lot of women think they can only do a session to have someone to show the photos to. Girl, no. Have them for yourself! Look at the photos daily and be thankful that you saved that person in the photos from continuing that awful relationship.
Kids
My favorite reason. Women think that just because their body has changed after having kids, that their body is no longer valuable enough to have a boudoir session. It’s more valuable! We now have the obligation of teaching our kids that our bodies are perfectly fine just how they are and what better way to do that than to teach yourself. Some women wait until their children are fully grown, and some do it a few months post partum. All bodies change after babies and all bodies are different. We fully welcome stretch marks, mom-pooches, and saggy boobs.
