Sam’s pregnant- yay! Sam’s having a girl- yay! I got to do Sam’s maternity photos – double yay!
I met Sam last year while working in the school and just fell in love with her personality and how much we have in common. We’ve had many long talks about family, work, husbands, pho, and more family. I enjoy her company so much, so I was thrilled when she said she would model one of my maternity dresses.
She’s the cutest pregnant gal ever! All bump! Front and center. Lucky! I was pregnant in my butt, my thighs, my cheeks, and then a little bit in my tummy. Ha! I should mention that Sam is an athletic life long soccer player so her body puts mine to shame even when she’s not pregnant. Her legs are stacked!
We went to this cozy little spot that I’ve recently become obsessed with and it worked out perfect. The sun was just setting and the clouds put on a cotton candy show.
Cotton Candy Skies
I’ve recently fallen in love with maternity sessions because it’s hard to wrap my head around the fact that there’s a tiny being right there…in the belly…all balled up. I regret not doing these for my own two babies. They never crossed my mind other than the occasional cell phone photo. And by occasional I mean two per kid. That’s something that I’ll never get back, and I’m okay with that. I’m not the first mom to never have maternity photos. I’m so blessed with how many albums I’ve been able to fill cover-to-cover during their lives.
Do as I say not as I do.
Don’t be like me, though. Start while your baby is in your womb. You. Will. Be. Sad. To. Not. Have. These. Photos. Take my advice and book your session now. You can even use my cute new dress.
