When to Book
If you wait, you’ll be stressed. Stressed photos are no fun. It’s best to book a date early summer before senior year beings to ensure you get a spot on my calendar. That doesn’t mean we need to complete your session in June. It just means that we got the hard part out of the way- picking a date. Before the fall becomes busy with sports, homework, homecoming, and work let’s knock your photos out of the park. Shooting in July, August, and September are the best times to get rich greens in your photos before the grasses dry up and the weather takes a dramatic turn.
Where to Shoot
Students that attend Legacy High School have a lot of location options for some amazing senior photos. While we have some great options in Broomfield, heading just outside of city limits will provide a ton of amazing spaces. There are some really popular areas that a lot of seniors love to go, but I know of some excellent options that are a little less crowded. My favorite locations as a Legacy High School Senior Photographer are South Mesa, Cathedral Point, NCAR and even downtown for more of an urban vibe. Heading a little further north will give you some great spots with water, and heading south will give you a different type of mountain view.
What to Wear
Wear what you want, but stay away from super trendy wardrobe items. Steer clear from logos, or pictures on tshirts. Think about what you’ll think of your photos in twenty or thirty years. Will you ask yourself, “what was I thinking?” or do you think that outfit will age nicely? I have some amazing suggestions for both senior males and females, but in general, consider wearing neutral and timeless pieces. Girls, love when you wear a patterned dress, a white tank with jeans, and one other option of your choice. Boys, think about a button up with chino pants, a simple tshirt with jeans, and another outfit of your choice.
