The Lynch family session in Thornton was probably in my Top Three this year. Guys, it’s hard to make it on that list, so you know it had to be good.
You’re probably thinking that the weather must’ve been perfect, and warm. Nope. Definitely not. It was actually the complete opposite. We froze our you-know-whats off. It was cold and windy which makes for a miserable afternoon to walk around without coats. You would never know it from the photos, though.
This couple has been through a lot, but their joy is radiant. They truly enjoy each other’s company and it shows. If you haven’t had a session with me, you’re not aware of the super random or awkward prompts I might have you do. This couple rolled with each one and nailed them! I’ll never forget how hard Chelsea was laughing, and the most genuine smile was caught on camera.
Little J is so dang handsome. He loved on his mom and dad so hard for these photos! Cuddling with them was no task, and was so easy to photograph. We talked a lot about him growing up and hunting with dad. That this session was perfect practice for hunting season because it was so frigid.
Location is everything
Another prime factor that made this family session in Thornton so amazing was the location. Because it was cold, the clouds offered some great diffused light that made this session a piece of cake. It allowed me to shoot in different angles that I wouldn’t be able to do with bright sun. The fall foliage was still hanging around, so the golden hue against their wardrobe was unbeatable. My favorite photo is of Little J sitting in these golden plants, but a pinch of blue sky is surrounding.
Lynch family, till next year! I can’t wait to see what your 2020 brings!
Your blog post brought tears to me eyes. I love all my photos and I can’t wait till next year! Probably a bit earlier in the season though 🙂
