Family photos shouldn’t just stop when your kids are teenagers, or off to college. Then they shouldn’t just resume again when your grandkids are born. Grown kids are still your kids, haha. This past winter, I was able to work with some adult kids that were gifting their parents with a photo session. They were all such a hoot to work with and I’m so glad I was able to meet them.
First was the Haider bunch. Dad has his hands full for sure. Three gorgeous daughters and a beautiful wife is enough to keep him on his toes for eternity. All of the daughters brought their significant others which was so much fun having them all do silly poses. We got some great candid shots, and some really great traditional family photos. Such a great group of photogenic people! It was a bit chilly for their session, but that’s the great thing about photographing adult children- their tolerance for cold weather is much different than a three year old. Their session took place in Thornton, Colorado and went of without a hitch!
Next, was Brittni. I met Brittni through an online inquiry for a session with her mom and sister. She knew we were a match since we both work in a middle school. Truth. We’re a special breed and just click, ya know? When she showed up with her mom, sister, and husband, I was in Heaven. The sweetest people ever that were graced with a considerably warm day in December. Her sister was funny as heck and her husband was such a great sport. Their session was at Sloan’s Lake in Denver, Colorado and was so perfect. I can’t wait to see what that location looks like in the summer.
These families needed no help finding a matching wardrobe. Around this time of year, red and black are super popular color combinations.
