1.) Newborn In Crib

This is one of my favorite shots ever. I think it just really captures the enormity of the crib compared to your new little baby. However, it’s only a matter of time before the baby consumes the crib and turns it into an indoor playground. You have about a year until that happens, but man, they’ll never be this small in their bed again.

2.) Dad and Newborn

Dad’s love these photos no matter how much of a fight they put up to book them. I love getting a photo of dad fist bumping his new baby, holding his thumb against the babies hand, and then photos of the baby up against their chest. The fist bump photos and thumb photos are always great shots to repeat year after year to compare the growth of your baby.

3.) Mom and Newborn

Some of my favorite shots of mom and baby are what a lot of people would consider the “everyday mundane tasks”. I love grabbing photos of mom getting their newborn dressed, settling into the rocking chair, and just simply shushing them to sleep. They’re my favorite because while those tasks are tiring sometimes, they don’t last forever and in reality- you will miss it. I’m glad I’ll be able to give you the opportunity to remember those tiring times.

4.) Newborn with Brother/Sister

These are always such cute shots. Often times these are super quick (and I mean quick) photos of the older siblings giving the baby a smooch, or handing you a diaper. Usually the older sibling has a shorter attention spam, so we gotta sneak the photos in where we can! I love being able to get the older sibling in the crib with the baby too! Another fun photo to do to include siblings is having one pop on dad’s shoulder while mom holds the baby. They always love being up high in the sky, huh?

5.) Doggo and Newborn

This is where your fur baby meets human baby. These make the list of my top favorite images. Dogs know exactly what’s going on and will absolutely feel left out if they’re not in a single shot. So many times the puppers is just staring at the baby, wondering what the heck is making that sound. Sometimes, they’re just staring at mom and dad waiting for a pat on his head for being such a good boy!
