Edgewood Inn : Flat Lay Photos

As a top-rated wedding photographer in CO, I’ve had the luxury to work at remarkable places like Edgewood Inn. I know exactly what makes your wedding detail photos, and flat-lay photos look remarkable, so follow along for some tips

Edgewood Inn : Flat Lay Photos

1.) Jewelry

Wedding Bands, Earrings, Necklaces, Engagement Rings, and Cuff Links.

Bring all of it. I have a lot of ring boxes that work well with these items, but if you have a special one or a particular color, then you are more than welcome to bring it. Taking photos of individual jewelry items and also some really pretty groupings are both priority! I have some fabric strips to lay out with these to bring in some color and so the jewelry doesn’t look so lonely.

2.) Invitation Suite

Invitations, Envelopes, Save-The-Dates, Menus, Stamps

These are always so fun to lay out and set up. I love staggering all of the different sized papers to make a cohesive scene. This is a special way to remember what your drink for the evening was, what your guests ate, and how much work you put in to addressing all of the envelopes. The Edgewood Inn has incredible sunlight pouring in over your detail photos which makes me love these shots even more!

3.) Perfume

Perfume and Cologne

I love getting a photo of the perfume and cologne bottles together. This will be the scent of your wedding that you’ll never forget. Incorporating rings into this shot is always a favorite of mine. At Edgewood Inn, there are so man great places to feature all of these little details!

4.) Flowers

Bouquets, Pedals and Boutonnieres

A moment for the flowers! Your bouquet will absolutely have it’s own photo session, but they play a vital role in flat-lay photos. They’re just something to play as a filler so your other items don’t look drab. This is a great way to incorporate your chosen wedding colors up against items that might now portray those colors.

5.) Special Momentos

Garter, Family Jewelry, Buttons, Pins, Lockets

This is where you’ll get photos of all of those tiny special details that you want to remember. A lot of brides choose to use Granny’s necklace, Dads’ cross, or their Aunt’s special bobby-pins in a cute little shot. No detail should be overlooked and deserve a shot all on it’s own.
