Ya know, I love photographing high school seniors but it is even more special when those same students go off and graduate college! It’s a fun reunion four years later and we get to catch up on your new adult life! I’ve been contacted by many former students and clients to photograph their college cap and gown grad photos because they know it will just make graduation even sweeter. That true cherry on top!
The most popular place for these college grad photos are usually at your college campus. Metro State University in downtown Denver, Colorado State University in Ft. Collins and CU Boulder are incredibly beautiful campuses and I love shooting on all of them. Each offers something unique and photograph wonderfully.

Popular items to bring to your college graduation session would be your cap, gown, cords, and stoles. It’s fun to incorporate these in various ways to some of your photos. It’s always neat to see some of your career props make an appearance, too. For example, if you graduated nursing school in Denver then bring some scrubs and a stethoscope. If you’re in the realm of law, it would be nice to start your career with a headshot in a blazer. Something else I always love is a sweatshirt with your school name or logo on it.

Oftentimes, when I meet up with a college graduate for a session, they’ve met a special someone or have started their very own young family. Please bring them to your photo shoot! Any and everyone that made this a memorable experience for you should be incorporated into your photos.
If you’re looking for a Denver college graduation photographer, please feel free to reach out to book your session. Congratulations! You did it!
