I had the pleasure of working with the Croteau family for their fall family session! It’s the third time I’ve photographed them this year! We did maternity photos, newborn photos, and now their family photos. It’s crazy how much growing little babies do within six months! Last time I saw their youngest, he was about a week old. Now, he’s able to sit up on his own and laugh! Their oldest wasn’t interested in photos for their last session, but it was like a different kid for this recent session!
Originally we had planned to have a fall family session to get some fall colors, but there was a nasty storm within a couple of days. We chose to postpone the session and hope that the leaves would stick around after the snow fell. Most of the leaves did survive and the weather was incredible. Well, we couldn’t have asked for a better night. By then the sun was shining, the boys were cute and the family was happy. What’s really awesome is that we didn’t have to drive far to make magic happen. And the kids may not be in the best mood after a drive. Trust me, I love love love some epic scenery with mountains in the background. But what’s more important: views or happy kids? I’ll take happy kids any day.
We played parachute with the kiddos to get some sweet little candids of the boys having a blast. Then they cuddled on the ground, and shared some kisses in between. These session are among my favorite and I love seeing families many times a year! Diane and Joe are up for anything I ask them to do, they are so fun! I think their photos turned out so fantastic and I can’t wait to keep doing their photos year after year.
