Some of my most favorite creative photos I’ve ever taken have been the ones I’ve done for free. That doesn’t mean that I don’t LOVE photos that I’ve been paid for any less. I just love having a vision in mind and being able to bring it to life.
The creative photos that did the best in my Shoot & Share contest were mostly free sessions, too. I don’t love losing out on money, but I sure do love being creative.
Scrolling an online boutique, I saw a stunning model in a flowered skull t-shirt, a high to low black skirt, and a super cute fashion hat. I knew right away that I wanted to recreate this look and shoot it on a rooftop. We were set to go after I put out a model call on social media.
We met downtown for the fastest session ever. Since I already knew what I wanted to do, we were able to move fast and efficiently. She was able to find the exact shirt on Etsy, and a similar black skirt. We met at a downtown rooftop right before the sun dipped behind the mountains. The light was nice and creamy which made it even better.
I love that she was down for anything- laying, sitting, standing.
