As a Colorado wedding photographer, I’m so happy to say that Josh and Alexis are getting married! She said, “Yes!” It’s happening! I’m so dang excited to photograph their 2020 wedding. Weddings are so much fun- the dancing, laughing, and crying because everyone else is crying. But let’s be honest, weddings are fun to photograph when the couple looks this good.
For their Save The Date photos, we went to a teeny tiny park that had all the right colors. The leaves were just beginning to change which made for a perfect evening for some lovey-dovey portraits. They showed up looking amazing…and had their giant dog with them. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a doggo so big. Like, really big. We had a short amount of time to get some pretty great shots. Jumping on each other’s back and all of the cuddles for the win.
We will be heading up to Lake Dillon in February for some official engagement photos and I can’t quite express how excited I am. I’ve never been to Lake Dillon! I know, I know. You’re saying, “But Jessica, you live right there in the heart of the Rocky Mountains and you’ve never been?” Righty-o. I hardly go to the mountains, so that’s why I’m ooozing with joy to get up there and photograph this session.
Now Vail? I can’t even.
I know this is going to be a killer Colorado wedding, too. They’ll officially become a married couple in September of 2020 in Vail, Colorado. Vail, you guys! Look at all of these wonderful places this couple is leading me to. It’s just meant to be. The venue looks incredible and will be at the end of summer- how gorgeous?! I’m certain this will be a non-stop party for this family and I’m just so honored they chose me to document it.
Josh and Alexis, are you ready to get #smithfaced? Me too.
