There are a ton of Colorado newborn photographers out there that are amazing, super duper good. And I want to be one of them.
I’ve done in home lifestyle photography session before, specifically newborn, but I wanted more images for my portfolio. Now is the perfect time for me to practice this since fall family sessions are done and high school seniors season hasn’t started.
I’ll try a Model Call
I was looking for a family with a newborn or small infant, I had a few great applicants. However, I felt only one family and I jived really well. Introducing Priscilla, Lindsee, and Nix.
Through talking with Priscilla in emails, her gratefulness is what drew me in and knew I needed to photograph her family. I sent her images of the color palette I really wanted and explained the vibe I was hoping for. Mission freakin’ accomplished. These new mommas did so good.
When I arrived at their home, it was like a walk down memory lane. Turns out their house was only one block away from where we brought home our very own newborn. I loved being able to show my daughter the park we took her to and the pool we swam in.
After I snapped my first image and peeked at the back of my camera, I knew this newborn session was one to rave about. The bright lighting in their home was perfect and Nix’s nursery was to die for.
I’m so happy I was able to gift this family with some memories they’ll look back on and realize how small their little one really was. Look back and see how fast he grew and how he now looks completely different.
New baby? We need to talk.
If you or anyone you know has recently had a little guy or gal, and you think they’d be a great fit for my model search program, comment on this post. Colorado newborn photographers love meeting new faces, so don’t be shy.
