The other day I was able to do college graduation photos for the first time!
Y’all know how powerful word of mouth is, right? It’s THE most powerful tool for a small business owner (in my opinion) and my clients are the best at it.
Years ago, I photographed a high school senior that told her best friend about me. That girl then tagged me in some photos that we did later on and low and behold..that’s how Gabriel found me! Social media is a crazy thing and the world is a crazy small place. No matter how many followers someone has, I will almost always book and hire someone based off of a referral rather than my own research. I’m so blessed that Gabriel opted to do the same for his college graduation photos.
I received a message from Gabriel several months ago about wanting to do college graduation photos this spring. I know it was several months out so I somewhat forgot about them! Now with graduation around the corner, we were able to pop on down to Denver for the most epic graduation photos of all time.
Shooting in Denver
I love shooting in Denver because there are so many nooks and corners that offer the best backgrounds. Yes, of course, I love using iconic Denver sites; but I love using random ass brick walls that are surrounded by ugliness. I love scoping out the best parking garages, and making my clients do weird shit just so I can get that blooming tree in the back. Urban areas have a lot to offer!
Anyways, let’s talk about Gabriel.
He’s insanely smart (I think so at least!) He was in the Air Force and is now graduating nursing school. He already has two job offers and a possible third pending offer. The decision has been made to work for a short time before jumping back into school to become a nurse anesthetist. Crazy right?
Are you John Legend?
His session knocked my socks off because he’s incredibly photogenic. Like, a grown ass man just poppin off into his own poses like he just came off the runway! Yesss! Made my job stupid easy. It does help that he’s a John Legend look-a-like, too!.
Guys- give it up for Gabriel.
