My Class of 2023 seniors were amazing this year. Truly amazing!
As of right now, I had 13 seniors which was a perfect number for me. While I would love to photograph seniors all year long, I felt like 13 was a great number. This allowed me to be able to form a connection with them, focus on their needs and wants, and deliver some incredible images from their customized sessions.
Most seniors opted for South Mesa in Boulder (because it’s a fan-freaking-tastic location), and a few others selected Downtown Denver, other areas of Boulder, and even the Denver Botanic Gardens. All locations offer something unique and special, and I’m so lucky I got to venture out to all of these spots.
One boy. I only had ONE senior boy this year! I normally always have more girls than I do guys, but this year there was only one! He’s a pretty cool dude, so I didn’t mind that one bit.
The outfits I saw this year were spot on. I love love love when clients wear neutral colored clothing that will make for timeless photos in twenty years. There were some adorable dresses, rompers, jeans with cropped tops and even some cool hair-dos. The right clothes will always have an impact on your final images.
I tried to make some reels with a few sessions, but it was so hard to pick photos for some teens because there were just too many good ones! I’m a Denver senior photographer, not a reel producer anyways, haha.
Some seniors know exactly what their plans are after graduation and some are still undecided. I’m always a fan of the undecided because I don’t like the fact that there’s so much pressure on high schoolers to decide what they want to do with their life at such a young age. I think it’s equally amazing that some kids know without a shadow of a doubt what their life purpose is.
Class of 2023 seniors have definitely raised the bar, so buckle up Class of 2024!
