1.) Baby Alone in Crib

I adore this shot so much. The babies are always peacefully laying in their cribs-unaware of mom and dad just gazing at them from the other side of the room. The baby always looks so tiny in the crib, but within two short years, he or she will likely be able to touch the crib from end to end. It’s a powerful photo that demonstrates how small your baby really is in this giant world.

2.) Baby Against Dad’s Chest

Dad’s love these photos. No matter how much of a fight they’ll put up leading up to these baby and family photos, they will absolutely adore this shot. Baby and dad will both face me while dad hold the baby with it’s back against his chest. This just shows how big Dad’s hands are compared to the entirety of the baby’s tiny body. A lot of dads love to repeat this shot year after year until he can no longer hold his kiddo like this.

3.) Baby Laying on Mom’s Shoulder

I love this photo because it’s just a simple everyday shot. It’s not a cute pose and no one has to do anything special. It certainly shows where the baby is most comfortable, though. Right there on Mama’s shoulder. How many hours of their childhood is spent on your shoulder? It should be documented that way.

4.) Baby with Siblings

Whether the older sibling is photographed helping change or dress the baby, or if they’re giving the baby a smooch, it’s important that they’re involved. It doesn’t have to be much, but just a quick little shot that shows how much love is there.

5.) Baby with Pet

This is where your fur baby meets human baby. These make the list of my top favorite images. Dogs know exactly what’s going on and will absolutely feel left out if they’re not in a single shot.

6.) Baby Details

Detail photos are a once in a lifetime type of shot. Never again will your baby’s flakey skin, and silky hair look like this. Never again will their fingers and toes be this small. I believe in photographing every detail about your baby so you can truly cherish the time that is fleeting.
